Ultrasonic computed tomography based on full-waveform inversion for bone quantitative imaging: Recent advances coming from geophysics
by Dimitri Komatitsch.
Dimitri Komatitsch is a CNRS Research Director (DR CNRS) in the Laboratory of Mechanics and Acoustics at CNRS/University of Aix-Marseille (France). His research interests include adjoint/inverse imaging problems based on acoustic waves in industrial, oceanic or geophysical structures, and the study of associated effects related to strong local heterogeneities and/or steep topography, as well as the numerical study of acoustic or seismic wave propagation in complex media. He also works on numerical modeling and imaging in the context of non destructive testing

Anisotropic Trabecular Bone Characterization by Poroelastic Ultrasound: Beyond Bone Mineral Density
by Luis Cardoso.
Luis Cardoso is a Professor of Biomedical Engineering at the City College of the City University of New York. Dr. Cardoso's research interest focuses on understanding the structure-function relationship in musculoskeletal and cardiovascular tissues, with particular interest on ultrasound wave propagation, poroelasticity, hyperleasticity, 3D imaging and experimental biomechanics.

Oral presentation

Timing rules will be transmitted after the program is completed.
Please, bring the presentation on a USB flash drive.
Only Power Point presentations 97-2007 or 2016 (or higher versions) (.ppt or .pptx)
Adobe Acrobat files (.pdf) will be accepted.

Poster & "Shotgun" presentation

The poster must be A0 size (A0 size is 841mm x 1189mm) in portrait orientation.
There will be 'shotgun' poster presentation. Those presenting a poster will deliver a single slide presentation to promote their poster. This will take the format of 1 slide and 3 minutes per poster. Slides should be in .pptx or .pdf format.
